Malahide Credit Union is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of our new Community Fund – an initiative designed to support projects within our local community that reflect social, cultural, charitable or educational development.
As a community-based financial cooperative, we are passionate about investing back into the young people within our common bond. We are particularly committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent students from reaching their potential. With that in mind, we would welcome applications from students in secondary education who are:
- Leading educational or entrepreneurial projects
- Developing social or cultural initiatives
- Participating in competitions, research, or community programmes
- Seeking support for essential educational resources or equipment (such as a laptop or tablet) where access to such tools may otherwise limit their ability to fully participate in their studies
- Creating projects that benefit the wider community
This initiative forms part of Malahide Credit Union’s wider commitment to promoting financial wellbeing, youth development and meaningful community impact.
The fund will be reviewed by our Marketing Committee and approved in line with governance requirements. Applications may be made directly by students (with school support where appropriate) and must outline the purpose of the funding, the amount requested, how the funds will be used and how Malahide Credit Union will be acknowledged.
While funding is awarded on an annual basis and subject to approval, we hope this initiative will encourage a spirit of ongoing ambition, creativity and community spirit among local students.
